Calendar Activities & Crafts: January - April

Sometimes it can be a struggle to find activities or crafts to do with your kids that are fun and entertaining for them while being low cost and low effort for you. But luckily, we’ve searched the internet to find some of the coolest activities that don’t require much more than what you probably already have around the house!

Check out the links below for fun activities and crafts you and your family can do from January to April!

January

Paper “Snowball” Fight

Snowball fights couldn’t have gotten easier…or less cold! All you need for this activity is a BUNCH of crumpled up paper balls. That’s it!

Divide the paper “snowballs” among teams or participants and let the fight begin!

*Be mindful of anything breakable that you might want to move before the fight gets started if playing indoors

Mosaic Snowman

Making a mosaic snowman (or any shape) is a great way for kids to hone their fine motor skills! Click the link above for an item list and directions on how to bring these works of art to life!

February

Bouquet of Hearts

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, creating a Bouquet of Hearts card is a perfect way to show your love. You can really make this one your own by having your kids (or yourself) write the things they love about about the person receiving the card on each heart! Click the link above for an item list and directions!

Heart Shaped Bird Feeder

Show a little love to the birds with this Heart Shaped bird feeder. All you need is some pipe cleaners, string, and Froot Loops of course! Click the link above for directions!

March

Paper Plate Rainbow

Paper plates are a crafting must have when you have little kids in the house! Click the link above to find out how to turn that paper plate into a rainbow with an item list and directions!

Walking Rainbow

This one might be better left to the adults to perform but the kids will love watching the colors walk across the paper towels forming a rainbow from just 3 colors! Click the link above for an item list and directions!

April

Raindrop Sun Catcher

These sun catchers are so pretty you’ll want them on every window! This one definitely requires adult supervision (you’ll need an iron to make the final product.) Click the link above for item list and directions!

DIY Flower Pot

You’re going to need somewhere to keep all those May Flowers, and this simple DIY Flower Pot is just the right place! Click the link above for the item list and directions!

Edible Dirt Cups

Edible dirt cups might be one of the most fun desserts for all ages and the kiddos will definitely have a great time helping to crush up the Oreos to go on top! Check out the recipe at the link above!
